Frequently Asked Back to School Questions...

RV Families,
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we understand that you may have several questions. To help make the return back to school as smooth as possible, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions:

1.) When does the school year start and end?
24-25' School Year Starts: 
Tuesday, September 3rd: 
9th grade only attends for Freshman Orientation/Link Day (Regular Bell Schedule: 7:30am-2:20pm)
Wednesday, September 4th:  ALL grades attend (Early Release Bell Schedule: 7:30am- 1:20pm)

2.) Where can I find my child’s class schedule?
Class schedules can be accessed via the StudentVUE/ParentVUE platform by 5:00 p.m. today, August 30th.

  •  If you have trouble logging into StudentVUE, please email Lauren Wanamaker. If you are new to Ridgeview this year, we have created a StudentVUE account for you using the following:
    • UserID: Graduation Year + First Initial + Last Name (i.e., 27JSmith)
    • Password: First two letters of Last Name (lowercase) + Perm ID (i.e., sm315761) 

*Schedules are still being adjusted and will still be adjusted up to the first day of school. Your schedule may change.*


3.) What are the school hours? 
M, Tu, Th, F Class Hours: 7:30am - 2:20pm
Wednesday Class Hours: 7:30am - 1:20pm

4.) What supplies does my child need?
A suggested supply list was shared out earlier this week, but if you have not received it, please refer to the following RVHS SCHOOL SUPPLIES SUGGESTIONS list.

5.) How do I update my contact information?
Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date by visiting the ParentVUE portal and completing the Online Student Verification.

6.) How can students access their locker?
Lockers will not automatically be assigned to students this year, but students may request a locker by completing the following Locker Request Google Form.

7.)  Can students change their schedule?

If your student was misplaced in a course, needs a course added, or is missing a course they need for graduation, please have your student fill out the Schedule Request Google Form. Please do not email school counselors with these requests.

  • If you recently enrolled, your student may not have classes scheduled yet. We are working on getting new enrollees scheduled.
  • All students need to attend classes on their schedule.  Students, please do not come to the counseling office unless there are one or more periods without classes on your schedule.

8.)  We were not able to attend Raven's Day. How can we get our Chromebook? 

Students who did not receive a Chromebook at Raven’s Day will receive theirs the first week of school. Contact Chad Schmude with any questions. 

**Please note that Online Student Verifications need to be completed in order for students to receive their Chromebook**

9.) When are school picture make-ups? 

Students (existing and new) who did not receive their 24-25' School Picture & RVHS Student ID Card on Raven’s Day will have a Makeup Picture Day session that is scheduled for September 18th (Photos can be Pre-Ordered through mylifetouch.com).
