Graduation Requirements
Graduation Requirements The State of Oregon requires that students not only receive the required amount of credits to earn their High School Diploma, but also demonstrate the ability to pass the Reading, Writing and Math Essential Skills Assessments. Students who earn the required amount of credits but DO NOT demonstrate the ability to pass the Essential Skills Assessments will be allowed to produce a work sample portfolio demonstrating proficiency in the Essential Skills area based on State of Oregon criteria. When proficiency is demonstrated a High School Diploma will be awarded. Students who earn the required amount of credits but DO NOT demonstrate the ability to pass the Essential Skills Assessments, nor produce a work sample portfolio in the Essential Skills area, will receive a Certificate of Attendance, NOT a High School Diploma.
