My educational philosophy is quite simple.  As a history teacher I believe it is an integral part of a well rounded education.  Throughout our history we have had men and women sacrifice in many ways to aid the development and continuation of our country.  We must honor that sacrifice by learning about it.
We have many people who want to become citizens of our great nation.  We ask that, before becoming citizens, they must demonstrate knowledge of our past and how our governmental systems work.  If we are going to ask that of new citizens, how can a citizen by birthright justify ignorance?
My classroom philosophy is equal simple: show up and do your work.  Regardless of your future plans, not being able to do those two simple things will decrease the ability for success.
