If a course is dropped after the first ten school days of the trimester, the student will receive an F for the course on their permanent high school transcript. The course may be repeated/recovered however, the original F will not be removed from the student’s permanent high school transcript.
Students should be enrolled in five classes. The only exceptions are for juniors or seniors who are on track to graduate and have received counselor approval and parental written permission. Open periods are limited to 1st and 5th periods only. Students may also have an open period if they are completing work experience credits or have courses in other district buildings. Students must be in designated areas or off campus during their open period.
